This partially unglazed stoneware Mug is hand-built from off-white clay slab and adorned with freehanded carvings.
Each mug takes approximately 8 hours of work in total spread out over a month to achieve every step of the process (read more here).
Each piece is unique, glaze render will be different from one mug to the other and each piece will have little character traits that will make it entirely unique. Those can include (and are not limited to) : slight wonkiness, not exactly cylindrical, slight change in height and width, glaze running and/or mixing differently, hand carved drawing slightly different etc…
Glaze descriptions :
Starry Indigo : this colourful glaze is a shiny deep purple-blue base covered randomly with funky crystals ranging from aqua blue to opaque lavender and lemon-yellow specks.
Shiny Moss : this translucent glaze is a beautiful earthy green with a strong shine that breaks into tiny specks of black on thiner areas.
Quail Egg : the glaze adorning the inside of the mug has an off-white matte base covered randomly with brown-black melted crystals.
