These hand-carved Wind-Chimes are in the shape of upside-down flowers, like little hats that could be worn by fairies or garden gnomes. They are made of 2 separate flowers stacked together and adorned with a brass bell and a clay clapper stamped with Posy Luna’s Sun Face.
Each piece takes approximately 4 hours of work in total spread out over a month to achieve every step of the process (read more here).
Each piece is unique and will have character traits that make it entirely unique. Those can include (and are not limited to) : different number of petals, slight change in height and width, glaze running and/or mixing differently, hand carved drawing slightly different etc…
Glaze descriptions :
Glitter Mocha : this coffee-coloured translucent glaze varies in transparency depending on thickness, making it randomly look like deep chocolate or shiny caramel filled with a myriad of golden glittered specks all over.
Banoffee : this rich glaze features a mix of different textures, the base is an opaque smashed banana colour with micro black specks covered with a layer of shiny translucent caramel that randomly breaks into darker pools of brown.
Please note : the inside of the ceramic pieces is unglazed and the metal bells are susceptible to rusting.
